Contract
Grette's contracting group is one of the largest in Norway. We have leading-edge expertise within the Planning and Building Act and consumer legislation (particularly the Norwegian Housing Construction Act and the Craft Services Act), as well as construction contracts in general. We have many years' experience in advising on the choice and design of contract strategies and terms and conditions, including models of working based on "open book", PPP/BOT and combined build-to-let construction.
Much of our work involves contracts based on legal standards developed under the auspices of Standards Norway (Standard Norge). Our attorneys are thus highly trained and versed in these standards and our work revolves around these standards to a large extent. This means that our attorneys offer courses under the auspices of Standard Online which issues the standards, and we also hold courses for other course arrangers, trade organisations and companies. We are also involved in the development of planning and building legislation and in the devlopment of the standards.
We always have a number of cases before the courts, but we will usually try to find mutually acceptable solutions wherever possible.
